There is a new lab publication in Biogeochemistry available online now! Carla and Brian are both authors along with Dr. YueHan Lu from the Geology Dept at UA. This paper describes particulate and dissolved organic materials and nutrient concentrations in an unmodified river, the nearby Sipsey River. The Sipsey has a broad floodplain that acts as a source of DOM to downstream reaches while also disrupting the movement of particulate materials downstream from the headwaters. We hope this serves as a base for studies into this uniquely unmodified river and its associated floodplain!
